Marathon Plovdiv 2020 Is Cancelled

This is a message that we were all hoping we would not have to write and publish again. Alas, the chance is not on our side. The virus does not intend to give way and the deepening crisis in the country is seriously affecting all partners who make the conduct of the Marathon Ploviv possible.

Unfortunately, we were officially informed that due to the high percentage of infected employees and those in quarantine, the Ministry of Interior - Plovdiv and the Traffic Police do not have the resources to ensure the safety of our participants and the order in Plovdiv during our event.

This, together with the unfavourable forecast for the epidemic situation within the next two weeks, forces us to take the difficult decision to cancel the Marathon Plovdiv on November 15, 2020.

At this moment, we cannot commit to a date for the marathon in 2021. We would have one at the end of the winter at the earliest, which is why we will proceed to the refund of the paid participation fee of all registered participants. In the coming months, we will contact each registered participant by email to clarify the details. Please give us time to organize the process in order to be as operational and efficient as possible.
